Analysis of Case Study 2.4 Digital Storytelling in Argentina

This case study takes place in Buenos Aires in a private school where children have English just three hours a week. Teachers felt pressured and were not really satisfied with just using the coursebook as the only resource. They started thinking about student`s interestes that ate not sometimes covered in the book`s syllabus. Therefore they decided to design their own projects based on student`s interest and to make use of the technology to enhance learning.
As regrds SAMRA model which establishes a relationship between content, pedagogy and technology, this new project that teachers have developed makes use of the differnet stages teachers should bear in mind when teaching.
First they have to think about the content, in this case the project called  Digital Storytelling will focus on for instance famous artists, street arts and works of art that will help them to write art stories.
As regards activities, students will work and do differnet tasks related to the topic, to the content. Some of them had to choos ea painting they like and write a narrative that could be compared to another one. (Pedagogy). And finally, technology was included when teahcers propose students to create a wiki and a  slideshare in whcih they could include the diferent works of art . In that way, they could record themselves discussing about the masterpieces.
I personally believe that this project is excellent, and tha tteachers should not feel pressured, but enjoy giving their lessons according to students`needs and if they can make use of the technology meaningfully would be great!
